A small, single-engine plane crashed in an airport northeast of Tambovka in the Russian province of Amur.  Sergei Kotkov and Alexander Korolenko (who I believe was the pilot at the time) were killed in the crash of the Yakovlev Yak-52.  The accident occurred at approximately 6:12 PM today.

According to witnesses, the airplane was flying at about 400 feet above the ground when it suddenly entered a spin and crashed straight into the ground about 700 feet from one of the runways.  The aircraft was completely destroyed from an area just behind the cockpit forward.  There was also a post-crash fire that consumed most of the airplane.
