Plane force lands and crashes into tree in Alaska.
A single-engine plane crashed five miles west of Ophir, Alaska on Wednesday (March 10, 2010). Ophir is one of the checkpoints in the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The Cessna A185E Skywagon (registration N70039) was carrying three people who are all OK after the accident.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) report, the Cessna was performing a forced landing for unknown reasons when it crashed into a tree. More information is not available at this time.
