A Philippine Air Force (PAF) aircraft crashed earlier today (February 24, 2010) during a training mission in the Crow Valley Bombing and Gunnery Range north of Manila.  The two flight crewmembers aboard the North American-Rockwell OV-10 Bronco were killed in the accident which occurred at 2:55 PM local time.

PAF officials still don’t know what may have happened, but witnesses say the aircraft simply plunged into the gunnery range while aerial gunnery training was being carried out.  No additional information is available at this time.

The OV-10 Broncos are mainly used as air support for military missions against communist and Muslim separatists.
